Reports

The Reports screen is the reporting library for your factor. It holds both reports built into FactorCloud and dashboards served from Superset.

Finding a report

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Reports.
  2. Type into Search by report name, or use the filters.

Each report is a card with a short description of what it covers. Click Open Report to run it.

App reports and Superset reports

The badge on each card tells you where the report comes from, and the All / App / Superset filter narrows to one kind:

  • APP – built into FactorCloud, runs in the app.
  • SUPERSET – a dashboard served from the reporting platform, opened from here.

Superset reports may take longer to load on a large date range, and they render their own filters once opened.

Your list will not match anyone else's

The set of reports is configured per factor. Two customers on FactorCloud see different libraries, and reports are added over time. If a colleague at another company mentions a report you do not have, that is why – it is not missing, it was never configured for you.

If there is a report you need and cannot see, contact helpdesk@factorcloud.com rather than assuming it does not exist.

Scheduling a report by email

The Report Scheduler tab emails an app report automatically on a schedule.

  1. In Reports, open the Report Scheduler tab and click Create Schedule.
  2. Enter a Schedule Name (up to 70 characters).
  3. Under What to send, choose the Target Report.
  4. Under When and who, choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly and a Send Time, then add the Recipients.
  5. Click Create Schedule.

Create Schedule dialog with Schedule Name, Target Report, frequency, Send Time and Recipients

  • Only APP reports can be scheduled. Superset reports do not appear in the Target Report list.
  • Each factor can have up to 10 schedules. The count shows next to Create Schedule.
  • Send Time is in your factor's time zone, and delivery is approximate – the dialog shows the estimated delivery time.
  • The list shows each schedule's Next Run and Last Sent, so you can check whether it went out.

If Reports logs you out

If clicking Reports sends you straight back to the login screen after you have signed in again in the same tab, hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac) or open FactorCloud in a new tab. This is a known issue and does not affect your permissions.

Before you start

Reports needs reporting permission on your role, and the reporting module enabled for your factor.
